Description
Can a simple, thin rubber band be a suitable therapy and training tool? Yes – provided it is used and applied correctly. This guide explains the wide range of applications for flossing, a modern treatment method used by physiotherapists to relieve both chronic and acute pain and to speed up the healing process following an injury. Germany’s leading flossing expert, physiotherapist Andreas Ahlhorn, uses specific clinical presentations to explain why and how flossing can ‘heal’ through compression.
But even those who are fit and healthy can use flossing to improve their performance. This is because briefly ‘constricting’ parts of the body with the Floss band allows muscles, tendons, joints and fascia to regenerate much more quickly afterwards and, when combined with specific workouts developed by sports physiotherapist and personal trainer Dennis Krämer, improves mobility and flexibility. From the contents: - Training and therapy with the Floss band - The effects of flossing on muscles, fascia and joints - Using the Floss band for injuries - The best applications for movement disorders - Pain relief with the Floss band - Increased flexibility and accelerated recovery through Floss workouts.
