Description
Do you want to improve your physical, mental and emotional health? Then focus your attention on the most important parts of the body: the brain and the nervous system.
Dr Eric Cobb, the world’s leading expert on neurologically-based sports programmes, Lars Lienhard, Europe’s leading expert on neuro-centred training, and Ulla Schmid-Fetzer, a neuroathletics coach, demonstrate how the brain and nervous system control all bodily processes and how these can be supported through specific exercises.
The vagus nerve plays a central role in this, as it is involved in regulating almost all organs and has a major influence on health and well-being. Together with the insular cortex – a region of the brain where information from within the body is cross-referenced with sensory impressions – it forms the basis of our self-awareness.
Through targeted training of the vagus nerve and the neural components of our internal perception, you can easily and effectively treat depression, anxiety and digestive problems, as well as pain, movement disorders and symptoms of stress, yourself. Drawing on the latest research, the authors present over 100 exercises with which you can train the vagus nerve and the insular cortex, thereby activating your body’s self-healing powers.
